Adam received a new calling this year as the stake young mens 2nd counselor. In the past he has been a part of the young mens which has been a wonderful blessing to our family but it has also definitely been very busy. Since he has been in the stake there have been less campouts and no weekly mutual nights. I know he misses it though, working with the boys, but it has been nice having him home a little more during the week and summers. He's always been so willing to serve in whatever calling he's been given.
We added a new baby girl to our family this year in August. Her name is Lyla. She is so sweet and beautiful and we are so blessed to to have her in our family. We love her so much!
We officially became a homeschooling family this year. It has definitely been a learning curve for me and has tested my patience but I love it and I think they do to.
Aaron is growing up to be such a great brother and has completely fallen in love with his new little sister Lyla. They share a room together. Aaron played Tball and soccer this year and has had a blast. Soccer is his favorite!
Adalie is an amazing little dancer! She's such a great sister and has the cutest little giggle.
Georgia has been my little buddy and loves to get in to things and make awesome messes. I think she has a real talent for it (unfortunately, lol).
Adam still has his own business but it has not been without struggles this year. In September Adam’s business lost their biggest client because they wanted to take the service that we were providing them and try to do it “in house” (in hopes to save their business money), which pretty much meant no more income coming in for us and unfortunately that meant he had to lay off all of his employees. Since then we have had wonderful family around that has helped support us and meet our needs. It’s amazing how our Heavenly Father has helped us out. Let me explain... Back in 2009 we sold our duplex in Midvale to Adams sister Mandy. I can’t remember all of the details as to why, but bottom line Mandy agreed to owe us some money and to pay us when she could instead of adding it onto the loan for the house (so we lowered the amount for the duplex. She would pay us that remaining amount as time went on). Well, that money through out this year has been such a blessing to our family. Every time we were in dyer need and didn’t know how we were going to get by that month Mandy would give us some of that money she owned us. Now this didn’t just happen once this happened over and over again, probably five or six times at least. We were and are still so grateful for that help.
Christmas time was especially hard for us but we had so many wonderful people around that made this Christmas probably the best we have ever had. We were overwhelmed with the amount of love people showed us. Adam and I had decided to buy gifts for our children at the dollar store. We bought them 5 or 6 things. Which we thought was good enough. Well, Heavenly Father had a different plan for us for Christmas. First of all, we had our friends Michael and Erin Woods give us $50.00 to help us out with Christmas (which I think we ended up using for bills if I remember right). After that, well let me just go down the list...my dad had a work Christmas party that our whole family was able to attend. They had rented our a movie theater for everyone. At that party everyone received a $10.00 gift certificate for that movie theater. So that meant $50.00 dollars for our family. We each got treats for the movie that day and still had enough to give 3 people movies tickets for Christmas. We were so thrilled to not only have a great time as a family for free that night but to also be able to give something with value to ones that we love for Christmas. Next, two days before Christmas our ward elders quorum president, Elder Loosli and one of his counselors dropped off I think it was 3 trash bags full of presents and a turkey for our family. That same night about 1 hour later 2 of my aunts came by with a load of presents for our family as well. This Christmas was definitely full of presents but most importantly we have never felt so loved and taken care. Adam's family also rounded up money for us (which helped to pay our bills). We were truly taken care of and are so thankful for the many angels Heavenly Father has placed in our lives.

Isn't it amazing that the years you think you will have nothing turn out to the be ones you remember forever? I'm so glad it was a good Christmas for you.
